James Ransome, Lead Faculty
James E. Ransome is the award-winning illustrator of over 60 picture books. He has been illustrating books, book jackets, greeting cards and magazines for over 25 years. James received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Illustration from Pratt Institute in New York.

Anna Raff, Lead Faculty
Anna Raff is an award-winning illustrator of books for children including World Rat Day, A Big Surprise for Little Card, You Are Not a Cat! and The Day the Universe Exploded My Head. Anna’s work has also appeared in newspapers and magazines, as well as on TV. Before her career as an illustrator, she was a designer at The Metropolitan Museum of Art and several children’s book publishers and she is on the faculty of the School of Visual Arts.

Jessica Love, Special Guest
Jessica Love is an artist and an actor who works in a variety of media with a focus on the human from, emotional nuance and visual storytelling. She wrote and illustrated the award-winning picture book, Julián is a Mermaid, which was the recipient of the 2018 Stonewall Book Award, an Ezra Jack Keats honor, the Klauss Flugge prize and the Opera Prima award. Jessica studied Fine Art at UC Santa Cruz, and Drama at Juilliard. Jessica works as both an actor, and an illustrator and lives in upstate New York.

Oge Mora is a storyteller residing in Providence, RI.

Her second book, Saturday was a Parent’s Magazine, Publishers’ Weekly, Kirkus Reviews, Horn Book, and School & Library Journal Best Book of 2019.
