Charles Waters

Charles Waters is a children’s poet, actor and author who has co-created various books with Irene Latham including Can I Touch Your Hair? Poems of Race, Mistakes and Friendship, which was named an NCTE Charlotte Huck Honor; Dictionary for a Better World: Poems, Quotes and Anecdotes from A to Z; African Town, winner of the Scott O’Dell Award for Historical Fiction and Be a Bridge. His latest book Mascot (co-written with Traci Sorell) has won multiple awards including an American Indian Youth Literature Honor, an NPR Best Book, an NCTE Charlotte Huck Honor, and a Jane Addams Book Award Honor.  Find Charles online at www.charleswaterspoetry.com.
