To Redeem Your Scholarship

If you can’t remember which scholarship you were awarded, refer to your award letter or contact us.
If already you know the workshop you’d like to register for, please contact us and we’ll get you registered (subject to availability). You’ll receive an email confirmation with additional information.

When you’re ready to select the dates for your stay, please see this link to check lodging availability. You’ll need to click on “Register Now” to search for your preferred dates.
When you’ve found dates you’d prefer, please contact us and we’ll get you registered (subject to availability). You’ll receive an email confirmation with additional information. You can also contact us if you are having trouble locating dates.
As a Whole Novel Scholarship recipient, you do not need to apply for a Whole Novel program. Your acceptance is already confirmed, and you can register as long as there is space available in the program.

How do a sign up for a workshop using my scholarship?

How long do I have to use my scholarship?
Scholarships awarded in 2023 can be used in calendar years 2023 or 2024.
What if I can't use the scholarship I was awarded?
Contact us to tell us your needs and discuss options.
I was awarded a full scholarship to an in-person workshop. Can I use this for a Whole Novel workshop?
You can use it toward a Whole Novel workshop, but it will not cover the full cost. You will also still need to apply for the Whole Novel Workshop. Contact us for options.
What if the workshop I want to take is full?
We cannot reserve spots for scholarship recipients in our workshops, so please register early. If the one you want to take is full, contact us to be added to the waiting list and/or learn about similar options.
Is travel included in my scholarship?
Ten travel stipends were awarded this year. Your original notification would have included this information. If you did not recieve a travel stipend, travel costs are not included in your scholarship. Contact us if you have a question.

The Highlights Foundation will be distributing a press release and posting scholarship news on social media in mid-April. Feel free to share those posts when they’re released, or make a post on your own whenever you’re ready. You can send the press release to local news outlets, if you’d like.
