Wiley Blevins

Wiley has worked in publishing for almost 30 years. He has written several early readers, such as Max Has a Fish and A New Friend, for Penguin, Scholastic, and other publishers. His early reader series include the Kirkus starred review Scary Tales REtold series (Lerner), Funny Bones Bully series (Red Chair Press), Let’s Find Out series (Scholastic), Follow Me Around series (Scholastic), Bodhi and Friends series (Scholastic Asia), Rocking Chair Kids series (Lerner), and the upcoming Animals That Help Us series. His transitional chapter book series Ick and Cred, illustrated by New York Times best-selling artist Jim Paillot, launched in 2017. Wiley has also written over 15 books for teachers and created elementary reading programs for Scholastic, McGraw-Hill, Houghton Mifflin, and Open Court. Wiley is currently Associate Publisher at Reycraft Books, an imprint focused on publishing books by authors and illustrators from under-represented communities.
