Monique Gray Smith (Cree/Lakota/Scottish) is a proud mom of teenage twins and an award-winning, best-selling author. Monique’s most recent novel, Tilly and the Crazy Eights was long listed for Canada Reads 2021. Along with illustrator Nicole Neidhardt (Diné), she created a young adult adaptation of Robin Wall Kimmerer’s New York Times bestselling nonfiction book, Braiding Sweetgrass, in 2022.
