Laurel Snyder is the author of many books for young readers, including the Geisel-award winning series, Charlie and Mouse, seven middle grade novels, including Orphan Island, which was long-listed for the National Book Award, and over twenty picture books, including The Longest Night, which was honored with the Sydney Taylor Medal. A graduate of the Iowa Writer’s Workshop, Laurel now teaches in the MFAC program at Hamline University. She lives in Atlanta, and online at http://laurelsnyder.com.
