Trans Women Write Scholarship

This scholarship supports trans women and transfeminine writers.  Applicants should be aspiring or emerging authors or author/illustrators, writing in any genre or format (fiction or nonfiction, picture books through young adult). Trans women bring crucial and unique perspectives to fiction and nonfiction, but are dramatically underrepresented even within the LGBTQIA+ community.  The hope is that this additional support will allow more writers with these identities to establish themselves within the sphere of children’s and young adult literature.
