The Stanton Picture Book Scholarship

The Stanton Picture Book Scholarship will be awarded to an aspiring, self-identifying female picture book writer and/or illustrator who is motivated to pursue creating picture books as a second, or even third, career. The scholarship supports a Highlights Foundation workshop of their choice, either online or in-person.

The Stanton Picture Book Scholarship is a gift from author/illustrator Elizabeth Rose Stanton whose career as a picture book creator unfolded after careers as an architect, fine artist, and parent; and who recognizes the positive impact the Highlights Foundation has on writers and artists who are making their way along their creative paths as storytellers for children.

Here’s Elizabeth’s picture book Henny, which was published at the beginning of her 4th career!
