Loretta Chefchaouni

A former early childhood educator and mother of two young adults, Loretta lives in Florida and writes books with a little creepiness and a lot of heart. She aims to explore the deep, and often scary, emotions faced by teens within the safe space of stories. Her work has been shortlisted in The Write Mentor Children’s Novel Award, highly commended in the Blue Pencil Agency’s First Novel Award, and earned second place in Voyage YA’s First Chapter Contest. Loretta is represented by Lane Clark at Arthouse Literary.

Visiting Our Campus

Our campus (The Barn at Boyds Mills) is tucked away in the foothills of the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania.  It's a few hours from both New York City and Philadelphia, but worlds away from everyday life.
