Jennifer Robin Barr is a Philadelphia-area writer focusing little-known nuggets of history. Her debut novel, Goodbye, Mr. Spalding (Calkins Creek; Astra Publishing House, 2019), was a Junior Library Guild selection, received a Starred Review from School Library Connection, and named a 2019 Top-10 Sports Books for Youth by the American Library Association. Jennifer’s next book, Thunder and Mercy (Calkins Creek; Astra Publishing House) is a historical fiction mystery set in Philadelphia’s Mount Pleasant mansion, a wedding gift from Benedict Arnold to his bride Peggy Shippen, and involves secret letters, found diaries, and the infamous Agent 355. When she’s not writing, Jennifer spends her days with her family, and advising students at Haverford College. Find her on Twitter @JenniferRBarr, and at www.JenniferRobinBarr.com.
