Sharon G. Flake is an acclaimed author renowned in the world of education and children’s writing for her compelling storytelling and authentic voice. With a passion for empowering new writers, she brings a wealth of experience in crafting engaging narratives that captivate young readers. In this Highlights Foundation course, Sharon will guide aspiring authors through the art of writing for children and/or teens, focusing on capturing genuine voice, creating vivid characters and scenes, along with developing and rewriting stories that inspire and connect. As a Highlights faculty member, she offers invaluable insights to emerging authors via her own personal journey as an author who was published later in life, and still found success and recognition in the industry.
