Retreat at the Highlights Foundation
Our campus (The Barn at Boyds Mills) is located in the foothills of the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania. It was built by and for people who believe in the power of story for kids, and is sustainably cared for by the family of the founders of Highlights for Children, Garry and Caroline Myers. Garry and Caroline’s farmhouse is located here, and is still operational (for lodging and gathering space at the Retreat Center).

On your personal retreat, time is yours to focus on your work, be in nature, and spend as you please. No structure. No schedule (unless you make one). You can come as an individual, or with friends, critique groups, writing partners, interest groups, and more.
