Clara Gillow Clark will be joining us as the writer-in-residence for this week’s unworkshop! She will be available during the week to meet with writers to discuss craft, career goals, and offer manuscript advice.
All writers and artists need to give themselves time. Time to think. Time to imagine. Time to create.
All writers and artists need room. Room in their lives in which to create.
We have comfortable cabins. Nice walking and jogging trails. We even have yoga some mornings.
Perhaps an editor or so will happen by for dinner, maybe for breakfast. And likely you will bond with some like-minded creative folks in the Unworkshop. But the focus is on your creating.
Come for any number of days that fit your needs. Arrive any time after lunch, and leave before dinner on the departure day of your choosing. Stay for a day or a week, as long as you need to write. See what works for you.
Here’s what we will do:
• Provide a comfortable, private place to stay, with a writing table and other amenities (refrigerator and hot beverage center included).
• Respect the sanctity of your writing space.
• Three great meals a day, where you can eat and socialize as you wish with like-minded people (or take the food back to your room on a tray if you are in the middle of a landslide of writing inspiration). Snacks are available at all times.
• Have a couple extra computers and printers available for your use.
