Gail Carson Levine

Gail Carson Levine is well-known for her children’s books such as the Newbury-Honor winning Ella Enchanted and Forgive Me, I Meant To Do It, Gail’s first historical fiction novel A Ceiling Made of Eggshells will be published by Harper in May 2020.

Gail Carson Levine’s poetry collection for adults, Transient, came out in July, 2016, from Nightshade Press, an imprint of Keystone College Press. Her poems have appeared in: The Louisville Review; The Sugar House Review; The Lullwater Review; Bigger Than They Appear: Anthology of Very Short Poems; The Golden Shovel Anthology: New Poems Honoring Gwendolyn Brooks; and the second anthology of The Cancer Poetry Project. In 2016, she completed her MFA in poetry at NYU, studying with Sharon Olds, Yusef Komunyakaa, Catherine Barnett, Anne Carson, and others.
