Gail writes for children and young adults—novels, picture books, nonfiction, and poetry. She’s best known for her novel Ella Enchanted, which won a Newbery honor medal in 1998 and was made into a movie in 2004. Other books include the historical novel, Dave at Night, the historical fantasy, Ever, and the nonfiction Writing Magic: Creating Stories that Fly, a how-to for children. Her latest is Forgive Me, I Meant to Do It, a collection of false apology poems for kids based on William Carlos Williams’s poem “This Is Just to Say.” Learn more at Gail’s website, www.gailcarsonlevine.com, and her blog, which is about writing, at www.gailcarsonlevine.blogspot.com.
