Kevin Daugherty

Kevin came to the Illinois Farm Bureau in 2000, following ten years as a classroom teacher and working as a marketing and implementation specialist for an educational materials publishing company. He holds a bachelor’s degree in secondary education from the University of Illinois and a master’s in technology with focus on human resources and training from Eastern Illinois University.

A priority in his role as education director at the bureau involves teacher training for the national program, Agriculture in the Classroom. Kevin directs his staff’s involvement with more than forty week-long summer Ag institutes per year, workshops and exhibits for teacher conferences, and workshops for preservice teachers at universities throughout the state.
