Shari Becker

Shari Becker is an award-winning author who has a not-so-secret love affair with YA romance. Her first novel, The Stellow Project, debuted in 2015 to rave reviews (School Library Journal called it “swoon-worthy”), and readers are anxiously awaiting her next installment in the series. Her previous books include a Junior Library Guild Selection as well as a Charlotte Zolotow Honor. Shari has studied with Carolyn Coman, Donna Jo Napoli, and Patricia Lee Gauch, in addition to assistant teaching at various Highlights Foundation workshops over the years. Shari has an MA from New York University. She has evaluated manuscripts for Scholastic, has worked for Nickelodeon, for Disney-owned companies, and even for an Emmy Award–winning puppeteer. She now lives in Brookline, Massachusetts, with her husband, their two daughters, and their dog.
