Sonali Fry was born and raised in the beautiful town of Sandy Hook, Connecticut. After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Arts, she moved to New York City, where her publishing career began. Sonali first worked at Putnam Publishing, which after a merger with Penguin, ended up becoming Penguin Putnam Inc. She then spent a couple years at Scholastic, where she had the pleasure of editing and writing many, many books about Clifford the Big Red Dog, who was a childhood favorite. From there she went to Simon & Schuster, where she worked in both Simon Spotlight and Little Simon, eventually becoming Editor-in-Chief. Last year Sonali joined Little Bee Books, Bonnier Publishing’s new U.S.-based imprint, as Editorial Director, overseeing the editorial, design, and production teams.
