Jillian Sullivan has written young adult novels, collections of short stories, picture books, a book on mythology, a book on writing, and a collection of poetry titled parallel, which was recently released. Her awards include the Highlights Fiction Award and New Zealand’s Kathleen Grattan Prize for poetry. She is currently writing a memoir based on the year she spent building her straw bale home. Jillian, who is a grandmother of six, lives in the Ida Valley, Central Otago, New Zealand, where she looks out to the mountains, rocky tors and tussock lands of the high alpine plateau.
