Sundee T. Frazier is the author of Brendan Buckley’s Universe and Everything in It (2007) and its sequel, Brendan Buckley’s Sixth-Grade Experiment (2012). For her debut novel, Frazier won the American Library Association’s 2008 Coretta Scott King/John Steptoe New Talent Award, and she was invited onto the Today Show for Al Roker’s Book Club for Kids. Her novel The Other Half of My Heart (2010), about biracial twin sisters—one black-appearing, the other white-appearing—was named one of Kirkus Reviews’ “Best Children’s Books” for 2010 and included in the Cooperative Children’s Book Center’s Choices 2011. Her novels have been nominated for twelve state children’s choice awards. Frazier graduated from the University of Southern California with a degree in broadcast journalism in 1991 and earned her MFA in writing for children from Vermont College in 2004.
