Gerry Bishop has been creating and selling photographs since the early 1970s. His images have appeared in many publications, including National Wildlife, Virginia Wildlife, Nature’s Best, Ranger Rick, and BBC Wildlife. His photos have also won major awards from Nature’s Best and the Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition.
Gerry was the senior director for children’s publications at the National Wildlife Federation and editor in chief of Ranger Rick for most of his career. He is now semi-retired and lives in Charlottesville, Virginia, where he writes and edits for NWF publications as a contributing editor and takes photos for pleasure and for Visuals Unlimited, the agency that represents his work. Gerry also serves as education chairman for the Charlottesville Camera Club and has taught photography seminars and workshops throughout the central Virginia area.
