Peggy Thomas

Peggy Thomas is the author of more than a dozen books for children and young adults, including For the Birds: The Life of Roger Tory Peterson and Farmer George Plants a Nation. She has earned the honors of National Science Teacher Association’s Outstanding Science Trade Book, School Library Journal’s Best Book, and New York Public Library’s Books for the Teen Age. Peggy’s latest book, Anatomy of Nonfiction: Writing True Stories for Children, co-authored with Margery Facklam, is the only writer’s guide that focuses exclusively on the dynamic field of children’s nonfiction.
