Barbara Krasner

Barbara Krasner received her MFA in Writing for Children & Young Children from Vermont College in January 2006. She is the author of 100 articles that have appeared in Highlights for Children, Appleseeds, Babaganewz, Calliope, Cobblestone, Footsteps, and Odyssey. She has served as a judge for the SCBWI Magazine Merit Award and the Writer’s Digest Self-Published Book Awards in the Life Stories category and is now serving a four-year stint on the Association of Jewish Libraries’ prestigious Sydney Taylor Book Award committee. She publishes the successful blog for Jewish children’s writers The Whole Megillah, and leads workshops and conferences for the Highlights Foundation and the Jewish Book Council. Barbara is also the author of four nonfiction books for adults and is a member of the Authors Guild and American Society of Journalists and Authors.
In January 2012, Barbara joins the faculty of William Paterson University's English Department as an adjunct instructor of children's literature. Read more about Barbara at www.barbarakrasner.com.
